Who Should Attend
A one day event for HR professionals, senior managers and anyone responsible for pay and reward structures within colleges.
Overview
With sector averages running at around 65% of total turnover your wage bill is by far your biggest cost. Does your pay and reward structure give value for money and does it motivate staff to maximise performance.
In challenging times for the sector when the movement of staff between colleges is limited and with the increasing importance of staff retention, this timely one day event will look at why reward matters and what you can do to ensure that your college is able to attract, retain and inspire your most valuable resource.
Content Covered Includes:
• Why reward matters
• What reward can and cannot do - motivation & staff performance
• Reward mechanisms that work & those that don't
• How reward fits with other parts of HR/organisational development
• Traditional arrangements in the sector
• Developing a reward strategy
• Changing your reward arrangements - a project approach
• Costing the proposals
• Harmonisation arrangements
• Tying in contractual changes
• Negotiation tactics & communication arrangements
• A case study project
