This one-day event is ideal for offering parents who would like to find ways to help their children express their emotions in a more healthy way. This programme is suitable for a maximum of 20 delegates.
Overview
There's plenty of evidence that parents are finding it difficult to manage the aggressive anger of their children, and this can start from a very early age. Although anger management courses for children can be provided, it is often most effective to address the issue with the parents.
This course can be run in conjunction with a similar programme for school staff, so that the coordinated approach ensures real change in the child's behaviour.
The problem:
The aggressive child can be difficult to manage, and has a major effect on the whole class. As a school, you know that some of the behaviour's in the classroom are reflecting role models at home, and that there needs to be a combined effort from both parents and teachers to get real results.
The solution:
This one day course enables parents to understand more about how anger is triggered, a new vocabulary for expressing all emotions, real strategies for changing the way emotions are modelled and resulting in a very real improvement in children's behaviour at home and at school.
This course can be offered to school staff, either on a separate day or as a combined course.
